About Bob

I thought it would be helpful for you to have the opportunity to understand the experience I’ve had that I drew on to develop the insights that I’ve included on this website.

I was a professor in the College of Engineering at San Jose State University for 12 years. I led a “process improvement” research center and taught graduate courses in organizational and project management. In addition to teaching internally at the University I taught management courses in many Silicon Valley companies including Apple Computer, Intel and Lockheed Martin. I taught process-based project management courses twice at “Peking University” and at the premier technical university in Peking “Tsinghua” I also taught process-based project management in other location in Asia including New Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Shanghai.

I have both a Masters and a PhD degrees in Engineering and a Masters in Human Resources and Organizational Development. I have been the project lead on numerous projects for the General Electric advanced nuclear power plant design division and manager of the systems engineering department at FMC Corporation providing project management and system engineering support to a 1500-member engineering organization.

For the last 25 years I have been a partner in the Organizational Learning Center, helping organizations achieve improved project performance, organizational prosperity, employee engagement and the quality of working life.
